There are plenty of restaurants ready and willing to cater to tourists. That doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean they serve sub-par food&#8230; but sometimes it does.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13460\" src=\"https:\/\/samantha-brown.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/17202898_1450278388336488_3595210531397523341_n.jpg\" alt=\"Dine like a local in tuscany\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The key to finding the best food in a new town? Eat where the locals eat. Often, that&#8217;s easier said than done&#8211; who do you ask? (The answer: cab drivers. Store clerks. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Trattoria-Le-Cave-di-Maiano-118094698221537\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trattoria Cave\u00a0di Maiano<\/a>, located in Maiano,\u00a0a village 8km north of Florence. Enjoy a lingering lunch featuring hefty portions of homemade <em>everything<\/em>, like pastas, rabbit and veal. Preparations are simple, but unbelievably tasty.
